Leasing Manager Bridge Point at Bayonne |
Bayonne, NJ Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday | Fridays & Saturdays Off Living Residential is seeking an energetic, organized, and customer-focused Leasing Manager to join our team at Bridge Point at Bayonne, a boutique residential community of just under 100 apartment homes. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys leasing, building relationships with residents and prospects, maintaining a strong property presence, and taking ownership of the overall leasing and resident experience. The Leasing Manager will manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through move-in while also supporting resident retention, property operations, and community engagement. Key Responsibilities Leasing & Lead Management Manage the full leasing process from initial inquiry through application, approval, lease signing, and move-in. Respond promptly to phone, email, online, and walk-in inquiries. Conduct property and apartment tours and effectively communicate the community's features, amenities, and value. Maintain consistent prospect follow-up and lead management within the property CRM. Monitor leasing traffic, applications, conversion rates, and follow-up activity. Assist with pricing, availability, leasing specials, and competitive market awareness. Work toward established occupancy, leasing, and renewal goals. Applications & Screening Process rental applications and ensure all required documentation is received and completed accurately. Coordinate applicant screening, verification, and approval processes in accordance with company policies and Fair Housing requirements. Maintain accurate prospect, applicant, and resident records. Ensure leases, addenda, and move-in documentation are properly completed and executed. Resident Experience & Retention Build positive relationships with current residents and serve as a primary point of contact for leasing and resident-related needs. Proactively communicate with residents approaching renewal and assist with the renewal process. Follow up on resident concerns and coordinate with the appropriate team members to ensure timely resolution. Identify opportunities to improve resident satisfaction and retention. Plan, coordinate, and host resident events and community engagement initiatives. Assist with resident communications, notices, and community updates. Property & Curb Appeal Conduct regular property walks to ensure the community, amenities, model apartments, vacant units, and leasing areas are clean, presentable, and tour-ready. Identify curb appeal, cleanliness, maintenance, or resident experience concerns and communicate them to the appropriate team. Complete pre-move-in inspections and confirm apartment homes are ready for incoming residents. Maintain an inviting, professional, and organized leasing office and community environment. Leadership & Property Support Take ownership of day-to-day leasing activity and ensure leasing priorities are consistently followed through. Help maintain organized leasing processes, documentation, reporting, and communication. Coordinate with property management, maintenance, corporate teams, and vendors as needed. Assist with property reporting and provide updates on leasing activity, occupancy, renewals, resident concerns, and upcoming move-ins/move-outs. Support management with additional operational responsibilities as needed. Serve as a reliable on-site leader and help ensure company policies, procedures, and service standards are consistently followed. Qualifications Previous multifamily leasing, property management, hospitality, sales, or customer service experience preferred. Strong sales, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to independently manage leads, applications, follow-ups, renewals, and resident communication. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through. Comfortable taking initiative and assuming ownership of leasing and resident-related responsibilities. Professional, dependable, and able to provide an excellent experience for both prospects and residents. Familiarity with property management software and CRM systems is a plus. Knowledge of Fair Housing requirements and multifamily leasing practices preferred. Schedule This position works Sunday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday off. Weekend availability on Sundays is required to support leasing traffic, tours, resident needs, and community events. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is more than an order-taker. You should be comfortable owning the leasing process, walking the property, following up with prospects, building relationships with residents, driving renewals, and stepping into additional leadership responsibilities when needed.
