Job Description
Overview We are looking for someone to join our team as a maintenance/property manager at a thriving Inn and Cottages in Big Indian. We book privately and through Airbnb/Vrbo. We need someone responsible, reliable and consistent due to the nature of the position and the demands in hospitality. Guaranteed 30 hours a week.
RESPONSIBITIES
First point of contact for any maintenance and security issues at the property 1. Ability to get to the Property in 30 min or less for emergencies so must be available to some extent for on call duties in emergency situations. 2.Property Maintenance & Repairs:
Performing routine preventative maintenance and handling minor repairs such as:- Minor repair and upkeep including
- Plumbing issues like clearing out clogged drain routinely & tightening faucets
- Changing light bulbs, troubleshooting appliance issues
- Grill repair and maintenance including filling propane tanks
- Garbage cleanouts daily, especially after guests leave
- Monitoring HVAC, Water Heaters etc.
- Wifi locks battery management and replacement
- Any other appliance related matters 3. Generator set up and operations
- The well-pump needs power to supply water to the units
- so genertor need to be started and power switched out in case of power failure.
Guest Support & First Response:
Acting as the localized, point of contact for guests (directed through the owner). This can include managing and handling immediate emergencies (like power outages or lockouts) and resolving localized issues (like changing lightbulbs, fixing leaky faucets, or troubleshooting Wi-Fi). For larger issues, you will act as the primary point of contact to schedule and oversee local contractors or workers. 5.Exterior Upkeep:
Supervising landscaping, snow removal and snow safety on property including the decks, maintain the property's curb appeal and functionality. There is an option with this position to have room and board (at a reduced rate) for a single individual or a family willing to relocate.
