Supervisor's role includes: coordination of intake, case management and clinical services - addressing the unique challenges of shared living at The Friedman; work collaboratively with Property Management to ensure services are guided by best practices and the mission and goals of Entertainment Community Fund.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Social Work Supervisor will coordinate intake process in conjunction with property management from applicant interview through admission and assessment of service needs and development of care plan. This includes facilitating the roommate selection process with property management when vacancies occur. Supervisor will be responsible for the clinical supervision of social work staff at The Friedman, providing oversight for the delivery of appropriate clinical case management services. Supervisor shall coordinate training and development of social work staff that addresses the needs of residents. Supervisor will assist social work staff in the identification and utilization of community-based resources; meet regularly with staff to review the specific support needs of individual residents and the general needs of the residential community. Supervisor will assist the Director in managing HRA and OTDA Supportive Housing contracts including ongoing assessment and service delivery consistent with funding requirements and reporting. This includes preparation for annual HASA audits, maintaining compliance with HASA and SRO Support Service funding source requirements. Supervisor will be responsible for the coordination of HASA case conferences to address problem(s) with HASA contracted residents. Supervisor will perform regular and periodic evaluations and review social service staff documentation. Supervisor will manage clinical cases for caseload of residents receiving

Supportive Housing Services in addition to low income working or disabled residents identified as having significant mental health and/or substance abuse issues. Supervisor will assist clients in maintaining medical, emotional and housing stability, utilizing counseling interventions and appropriate referrals, and maintain a consistent schedule of face to face client contacts. Supervisor will provide crisis intervention counseling or other short-term counseling to low income working residents and family support system which include preliminary intervention/mediation for tenants having roommate dispute problems and assess the need for outside mediation. Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining confidential up-to-date records, logs, release forms, and charts for each resident and assure the confidentiality of all information. All written work will be completed and submitted in assigned time frames.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS LCSW

with 2-3 years of supervisory experience required Experience in housing and support services Proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to interface effectively and efficiently with colleagues, and requires good decision-making skills and the ability to identify and facilitate necessary programmatic change Extremely organized and detailed oriented Knowledge of entitlements, seniors, HIV/AIDS, and mental health
