Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Community Manager to join our dynamic property management team. In this pivotal role, you will support the overall operation of residential communities by assisting with leasing, resident relations, administrative tasks, and property maintenance coordination. Your proactive approach and excellent customer service skills will ensure a vibrant, well-managed community where residents feel valued and satisfied. Responsibilities Assist in leasing activities, including property tours, application processing, and lease signing, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and State guidlines. Support the management of resident relations by addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts, and maintaining positive communication through phone etiquette and CRM systems. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely property repairs and upkeep using facilities management tools like RealPage or OneSite. Maintain accurate data entry for resident records, rent payments, and legal documentation such as contracts and lease agreements. Help manage compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements and other regulatory standards related to affordable housing programs. Assist in marketing efforts by upselling available units or amenities to prospective tenants and supporting property leasing initiatives. Conducting new resident orientation to property, including rules and regulations. Maintaining a professional office atmosphere. Maintaining an accurate Tax Credit Waiting List. Obtaining third-party verifications of income and assets of residents and prospects. Communicating professionally and respectfully. Working professionally and collaboratively with the team. Support administrative functions such as filing, invoicing, collecting rent, preparing reports, and managing legal documents related to landlord-tenant law. Requirements Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles; familiarity with RealPage, Yardi or OneSite is highly desirable. Knowledge of LIHTC, Section 8, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law to ensure compliance across all operations. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict management effectively and professionally. Experience with legal administrative procedures including contracts, lease agreements, and legal filings. Office experience with data entry, filing systems, and office software tools; proficiency in CRM platforms is a plus. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with effective phone etiquette for engaging with residents, vendors, and team members. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in property leasing, maintenance coordination, and administrative tasks.
