A Property Manager manages operations for an apartment building or complex. Manages property and services on behalf of a community association, for properties such as condominiums or cooperatives. Collects fees or dues, responds to requests or complaints, supervises maintenance, oversees work done by contractors, and provides accounting of income and expenses. May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our multi-family 55 + Community in Massillon, Ohio. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management, with a focus on maintaining high standards of property upkeep and tenant satisfaction. This role requires effective communication skills and a collaborative approach with the on-site team to ensure the successful management of the property. Candidate must have a high school diploma/GED and a minimum of 2 years' experience as a property manager or assistant property manager to be considered for this position. We are a drug-free workplace; therefore, all candidates must pass a drug screening and background check. We offer health care coverage, generous PTO accrual, and goal-centered bonuses. Duties Manage all aspects of property operations, including tenant relations, leasing, maintenance, and financial reporting. Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards. Conduct quarterly unit inspections. Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, working closely with vendors and contractors if needed. Negotiate lease agreements and renewals while ensuring compliance with local regulations. Implement effective marketing strategies to attract new tenants, including upselling available units. Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, maintenance requests, and financial transactions using our property management software. Foster collaboration among the team to enhance occupancy rates and tenant satisfaction. Provide exceptional customer service to tenants by addressing concerns promptly and professionally. Effectively communicating with the Regional Manager and Owners. Skills MUST have previous property management experience- minimum 2 years required. Strong knowledge of property management principles and practices. Proficient in property maintenance processes and procedures. Excellent ability to resolve conflicts effectively. Experience in marketing techniques to drive occupancy rates. Proficient in using property management software to track maintenance requests and property management tasks. Outstanding customer service skills with a focus on tenant satisfaction. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. General understanding of Fair Housing laws.
