A Property Manager manages operations for an apartment building or complex. Recruits and screens tenants for apartments, collects rents and security deposits, responds to requests or complaints from tenants, supervises maintenance and repairs; oversees payment of bills, insurance, taxes and recordkeeping. Manages property and services on behalf of a community association, for properties such as condominiums or cooperatives. Collects fees or dues, responds to requests or complaints, supervises maintenance, oversees work done by contractors, and provides accounting of income and expenses. May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Waymark Property Management Job Description:
Property Manager Waymark Property Management, a growing, comprehensive, service-oriented, property management company, currently manages a portfolio of over 350 residential units in the Carlisle and greater Harrisburg region. Headquartered in Carlisle, Waymark prides itself on superior customer service to both property owners and tenants. We are actively seeking a highly motivated Property Manager to manage all aspects of a portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess superior communication skills, be organized, effective, thoughtful, forward thinking, growth minded and will align with Waymark's Core Values. A real estate license and 1-year of experience in property management are required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Build relationships with and work effectively with staff, tenants, vendors, and property owners, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.
  • Manage all aspects of portfolio, including but not limited to, marketing, showing, application approval, lease preparation, move-in, tenant relations, property inspections, maintenance and work orders, move-out, property turn-over, lease renewals, rent collection, and evictions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, ordinances, and regulations, and Fair Housing Laws.
  • Fully utilize property management software, Appfolio, for all aspects of managing properties, including, but not limited to, marketing, leasing, renewal, communication, and running reports.
  • Continually seek growth opportunities for Waymark and willingness to grow and adapt operational processes.
Experience & Qualifications:
Active PA Real Estate License (required) Superior communication skills. Communication must be timely, effective, and kind. Willingness to learn and work through the principles of the EOS operating system. A minimum of 1 year of property management experience. In-depth knowledge of real estate laws, specifically surrounding PA Landlord/Tenant Law, Fair Housing and general property management. Fluent with Property Management software. Fluency in Appfolio preferred, but willingness to apply current property management software knowledge to learning Appfolio acceptable. Proficiency in modern technologies, including the Google and Microsoft platforms, Zoom, marketing websites, and Waymark website. Proactive problem solver with the ability to work through solutions and present ideas to the team. Must have own vehicle and willingness to travel between properties daily. The successful candidate will report directly to the managing director.
