About ParentConnect ParentConnect is an AI-assisted platform helping expecting and new parents build meaningful local community. We connect parents with people nearby who are in a similar stage of life and make it easier to turn those connections into real-world relationships, meetups, events, and trusted local resources. Following a successful beta, we're preparing for our first major market launch in Chicago. The community we build here will become the model for how ParentConnect expands into new markets across the country. About the Role We're looking for a natural community builder to help bring ParentConnect to life across Chicago. You might be the friend who organizes the dinner, introduces people who should know each other, knows what's happening around town, and makes people feel welcome wherever you go. As our Regional Operator, you'll be the on-the-ground face of ParentConnect in Chicago. You'll plan and host events, build relationships across the local parent community, recruit and support ambassadors, develop local partnerships, and help us understand what Chicago parents want and need. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who loves people, community, events, and building something new from the ground up. What You'll Do Plan and lead ParentConnect meetups, events, and community programming across Chicago Create experiences that feel thoughtful, welcoming, and aligned with ParentConnect's standards for quality and trust Recruit, train, and support a network of local ParentConnect ambassadors Build relationships with parents, community organizations, businesses, and local leaders Identify and cultivate local partnership and sponsorship opportunities alongside the Head of Partnerships Represent ParentConnect at local events and serve as a visible face of the brand in Chicago Gather feedback from members and share local insights with the product, design, and marketing teams Help develop the systems and playbook that ParentConnect will eventually use to launch new markets You Might Be a Great Fit If You... Are the kind of person who naturally brings people together and makes others feel included Know Chicago well and have strong ties to local communities, especially parents and families Love planning events and creating thoughtful in-person experiences Are comfortable meeting new people, building relationships, and representing a growing brand Have strong relationship-building instincts and aren't afraid to pitch a local business or ask for a partnership Are organized, resourceful, and comfortable managing lots of moving pieces Enjoy working independently and figuring things out as you go Are energized by the pace and ambiguity of an early-stage company Requirements Based in the Chicago area Availability for approximately 20-25 hours/week Ability to attend some evening and weekend events Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills Comfortable being highly visible and representing ParentConnect in the community Experience with community building, events, partnerships, hospitality, local marketing, nonprofit/community programming, or brand activations is strongly preferred. Existing relationships within Chicago's parent and family community are a major plus.
