Vista Care South Dakota, LLC is hiring a Residential Manager in Sioux Falls, SD. This is a full-time position.

Exempt / Full-Time Position Overview The Residential Manager leads operational excellence, quality care, and staff performance across assigned residential locations. Reporting directly to the Area Director, this role ensures person-centered support for all individuals, fosters a positive workplace culture for direct care teams, and guarantees full compliance with regulatory, state, and organizational standards. Key Responsibilities Operational & Financial Oversight Direct day-to-day operations and physical upkeep of assigned residential sites in partnership with Maintenance and Operations teams. Manage site and individual program funds, including budget adherence, balance sheet reconciliation, expense reporting, and grocery audits. Lead preparation and compliance for internal quality reviews and external regulatory audits (e.g., BALC, BQM, OIG, Ligas, ISSA). Team Leadership & Staff Development Supervise, coach, and evaluate Residential Supervisors and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). Lead recruitment, onboarding, site orientation, timecard approvals, and annual performance evaluations. Facilitate employee engagement and retention strategies to cultivate an inclusive, welcoming work environment. Individual Care & Service Planning Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous monitoring of Interdisciplinary Service Plans (ISPs). Participate in intake assessments, referral reviews, and client transitions into residential programs. Act as primary operational liaison for families, guardians, interdisciplinary care teams, and external healthcare providers. Safety, Compliance & Emergency Response Serve as the primary site escalation point for client or facility emergencies, providing immediate direction and reporting to executive leadership. Enforce human rights policies, client rights, confidentiality, and professional boundaries across all programs.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience & Skills Required:
High School Diploma or GED; valid drivers license; successful background check.
Preferred Experience:
3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role within human services. 2+ years of experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) or in disability services.
Core Competencies:
Strong critical thinking, budget tracking, crisis de-escalation, conflict resolution, and high-stress adaptability.
Education & Certifications Degree:
Bachelors degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred (5+ years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree). Required Training Trajectory (Post-Hire): Within 30
Days:
CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, and CPI Training.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Physical Capability:
Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs routinely to assist individuals with transfers and physical mobility.
Schedule & Travel:
Flexible availability required, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation. Inter-site travel required across designated regions.
