Assistant Property Manager Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Assistant Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations. This role will focus on managing maintenance and grounds staff, coordinating work orders, and communicating effectively with residents about their requests. The ideal candidate will foster a positive atmosphere and ensure efficient property management.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of maintenance and grounds staff. Manage all aspects of property leasing, including showing units, processing applications, and handling lease renewals. Maintain accurate records of resident information, rent payments, and maintenance requests. Handle tenant inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly. Conduct property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Coordinate maintenance and repairs with vendors and maintenance staff. Implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants and maximize occupancy rates. Enforce lease agreements and address lease violations as needed. Share on-call responsibilities for maintenance emergencies, providing troubleshooting support and attending to issues after hours if necessary.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with tenants, vendors, and staff. Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and relevant property laws. Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to handle conflicts diplomatically and resolve issues efficiently. Proficiency in Outlook and Excel. Strong upselling skills to promote additional services or amenities to tenants. Professional phone etiquette and communication skills.
