Grow With Sage & Stone Sage & Stone Landscapes is looking for an Associate Account Manager to join our growing commercial landscape maintenance team. This position is designed for someone who wants to build a career in account management and leadership. You do not need to come to us knowing everything. We will train you. Our goal is to develop the right person into a successful Landscape Account Manager by teaching you our operations, customer service standards, landscape knowledge, estimating, enhancement sales, budgeting, and—most importantly—the Sage & Stone way of taking care of our clients and properties. We believe in growing people from within. If you're motivated, dependable, good with people, willing to learn, and want an opportunity to build a career in the commercial landscape industry, we want to meet you. What You'll Do As an Associate Account Manager, you will work directly alongside our Account Managers, Operations Manager, Production Managers, and field teams while learning how to successfully manage a portfolio of commercial landscape properties.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assist Account Managers with the day-to-day management of commercial and HOA landscape maintenance accounts. Build relationships with property managers, board members, facility managers, and other clients. Conduct regular property walks and landscape quality inspections. Identify landscape, irrigation, tree, and enhancement opportunities on client properties. Learn how to proactively identify issues before the client has to point them out. Help coordinate maintenance crews, irrigation teams, enhancement crews, and other field operations. Follow up on client requests and ensure items are completed from start to finish. Assist with preparing estimates and enhancement proposals. Learn how to present and sell landscape enhancements and additional services. Take photos, document property conditions, and help prepare professional site reports for clients. Learn the fundamentals of landscape maintenance, irrigation, plant material, seasonal color, mulch, tree care, and property improvements. Assist with monitoring account budgets, job costing, labor, materials, and overall account profitability. Communicate regularly with field leadership to ensure our properties meet Sage & Stone standards. Participate in client meetings and property walks. Help maintain safe, clean, and professional company vehicles, equipment, and workspaces. Take ownership of problems and help find solutions rather than waiting for someone else to solve them. What We're Looking For Landscape experience is helpful, but it is not required for the right person. We are looking for someone with the personality, work ethic, and drive to eventually become one of our Account Managers.
The ideal candidate:
Is hungry to learn and grow professionally. Enjoys working with people and building relationships. Communicates professionally and confidently. Takes ownership and follows through on commitments. Is organized and capable of managing multiple priorities. Is comfortable spending time both in the field and in the office. Is willing to learn the operational and financial side of commercial landscaping. Is a proactive problem solver. Works well in a team environment. Can accept coaching and constructive feedback. Holds themselves to a high professional standard. Is comfortable using technology and learning new software. Has working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Has a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required. Your Career Path This is not intended to be a permanent Associate position.
