The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management, including experience with affordable housing programs such as LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) and Section 8. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of exceptional resident services, maintaining compliance with housing regulations, and driving operational excellence. As a Regional Manager, you will lead a team of property managers and staff, coordinate leasing activities, manage budgets, and uphold the highest standards of customer service. Your energetic leadership will foster a positive community environment while optimizing property performance and profitability. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of multiple property sites, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local housing laws including Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law. Lead, motivate, and develop property management teams to achieve operational goals and deliver outstanding resident experiences. Manage leasing processes, including lease or rental agreement management, tenant screening, and renewal negotiations using property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite. Monitor financial performance by preparing budgets, tracking expenses, and implementing cost-effective strategies to maximize revenue. Ensure proper maintenance of properties through facilities management coordination and oversight of property maintenance teams or vendors. Maintain accurate records through data entry, filing, and use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work orders and maintenance tracking. Foster strong client relationships through effective communication, conflict management, and upselling additional services or amenities to residents. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws including LIHTC guidelines, Section 8 regulations, and Fair Housing policies while managing contracts with vendors and service providers. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety standards are met and properties are well-maintained; address any issues promptly. Promote a customer service-oriented culture within your team by providing training on phone etiquette, client communication, and conflict resolution. Requirements Proven experience in property management with a focus on affordable housing programs such as LIHTC and Section 8; conventional experience is also valued. Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal administrative procedures related to property leasing. Proficiency in property management software including Yardi, OneSite, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and customer relationship management tools. Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively across multiple locations. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client communication and conflict resolution. Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, lease or rental agreement management, and contract negotiation. Knowledge of facilities management practices including property maintenance coordination using CMMS systems. Office experience with data entry, filing systems, phone etiquette, and administrative support functions.
