RuralEdge is looking for a compassionate, organized, and community-minded Resident Services Manager to lead our Eviction Prevention and Community Building & Engagement (CB&E) programs. In this role, you'll be a trusted connector between residents, property management, and local service providers — helping people stay stably housed while building stronger, more engaged communities across the Northeast Kingdom. What You'll Do Support Housing Stability Reach out to residents when lease issues arise, connecting them with resources and support before problems escalate Develop action plans with residents to help them remain safely and successfully housed Serve as a mediator between residents and property management when conflicts arise Assess & Respond to Resident Needs Conduct an annual survey of residents to identify priority needs and track trends over time Present findings to guide program planning and areas of focus Build Community Connections Facilitate regular community meetings between residents and property staff Support resident leadership initiatives, community gardens, and community-building events Establish and grow partnerships with local organizations to bring services directly to residents Lead & Represent RuralEdge Supervise Resident Support Specialist(s) and a VHCB AmeriCorps member Maintain the RuralEdge website and manage organizational social media content Maintain a current resource list connecting residents to employment, education, and social services Represent RuralEdge at trainings, meetings, and community events What You Bring High school diploma required; college coursework or a degree in Human Services preferred Experience working with diverse populations (families, seniors, individuals with disabilities or chronic mental illness a plus) Comfort with conflict management, de-escalation, and community organizing Strong facilitation skills and genuine respect for residents' knowledge and lived experience Ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality Proficiency with everyday computer and smartphone technology A valid driver's license, good driving record, proof of insurance, and access to your own vehicle Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends, and to travel for trainings and property visits Why RuralEdge You'll join a mission-driven team dedicated to strengthening housing stability and community life throughout the Northeast Kingdom.
