Position Summary The Adult Family Home Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the adult family home, ensuring residents receive high-quality care in a safe, supportive, and home-like environment. This role includes supervising caregivers, maintaining regulatory compliance, coordinating resident care, and managing administrative and operational tasks. Key Responsibilities Resident Care & Quality Ensure residents receive compassionate, individualized care consistent with their service plans. Monitor residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being. Coordinate with healthcare providers, therapists, and families regarding resident care. Respond to resident concerns, incidents, or emergencies. Staff Supervision Hire, train, schedule, and supervise caregivers and support staff. Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and evaluations. Ensure staff follow care plans, policies, and safety procedures. Maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet resident needs. Compliance & Documentation Ensure the home operates in compliance with state regulations and recertification requirements. Maintain accurate resident records, incident reports, medication documentation, and staff files. Prepare for and participate in state inspections or audits. Operations & Administration Oversee day-to-day operations of the home. Manage staff schedules and reviewing timesheets. Maintain household supplies, medications, and meals. Monitor budgets and control operational expenses. Qualifications Experience in assisted living, adult family homes, long-term care, or residential care management. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Knowledge of state regulations governing adult family homes. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to handle emergencies calmly and professionally. Education & Certifications High school diploma or equivalent required. CNA, caregiver certification, or healthcare-related training preferred. Medication administration training preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to assist residents with basic personal cares and daily activities. Ability to manage all household needs including deep cleaning, snow removal and lawn care. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call when required.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8a-4p; on-call for your assigned Adult Family Home M-F for emergencies or staff call-ins On call one weekend per month
