Social Vocational Services (SVS) is an innovative day program that serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to provide training & support necessary for those who participate in the services to achieve their social, recreational, vocational & residential goals.

Position Purpose :

Provides overall management of two or more SVS program offices within a designated region.

Oversees:

Irwindale, City of Industry, and Monrovia Offices. Duties and Responsibilities Hire, supervise and train Program Directors. Maintain approved staffing ratios in Region Serve as Case Responsible Person (CRP) within the region Chair Regional Safety Committee Assure compliance within Region to all SVS policies and procedures Monitor on a regular basis regional compliance with CARF standards (if applicable) Monitor regional compliance with state regulations (Community Care Licensing) and funding agency (Regional Center) requirements Prepare and submit reports as required Develop and manage Consumer Advisory Group (to meet quarterly) Oversee local response to satisfaction surveys of stakeholders Prepare an annual SWOT analysis for assigned territory Prepare expenditure report and monitor expenditures Attend meetings internal and external to SVS as appropriate Conduct staff meetings on various administrative topics including job development In absence of assigned Program Director, assumes those job duties All other duties as assigned by the

Director of Regional Administration Mandated Abuse Reporter Education and Work Experience:

Must be at least 21 years of age. Bachelor's Degree in a human service and five years experience (including 2 years management) in the field of developmental disabilities. Masters Degree preferred. Additional experience may be substituted for degree with Executive Director approval. Knowledge of the principles of management, supervision and training; knowledge of the principles and techniques of operation of human service agencies; ability to formulate policies and procedures for administration of social services; ability to select, supervise and evaluate the performance of staff. Must have ability to competently use various computer software programs. Effective writing skills and ability to generate reports in an accurate and timely manner. Ability to deal effectively with staff, clients and outside community. Awareness of principles of normalization and development. Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Driving and License Requirements :

Must have personal vehicle, valid California Driver's license, good driving record and proof of auto liability insurance as mandated by the State of California; may be required to drive nine passenger van..

Criminal Record Clearance :

Must obtain and maintain a Department of Justice/FBI fingerprint clearance.

Additional Requirements :

Must be able to pass a post-job offer job-related physical exam, to include a negative TB test if work will be in a licensed facility. Certain locations require the ability to pass a drug screening prior to hire; and randomly thereafter.

Must complete First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire and must become a crisis intervention program (CIP) certified trainer within 6 months of hire. Required participation in 30 hours of continuing education each 24 months when the administrator of an Adult Day Program.
