Public Affairs and Communications Director City of Roseville, California Annual Salary:
$155,020 - $207,742 DOE/DOQ For first consideration, apply by September 1, 2026. Career Brochure The City of Roseville, California, invites experienced and forward-thinking public-sector leaders to apply for the position of Public Affairs and Communications (PAC) Director . Reporting to the City Manager, this executive-level role provides strategic and operational leadership for a highly visible department that ensures effective communications and legislative advocacy for a large, full-service municipal organization. Our ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and relationship builder known for their professionalism, political acumen, sound judgment, sensitivity to community issues and being a connected industry expert. They will be adept at navigating complex organizations, fostering trust with elected officials, and building strong collaborative partnerships across City departments, the media and broader community.
An ideal candidate demonstrates:

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Annual Salary:
$155,020 - $207,742 DOE/DOQ, PLUS B enefits package.

Experience :
Seven years of increasingly responsible experience in communications or public relations, including three years of administrative and management responsibility.
AND Training :
Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
AND License or Certificate:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver's license. Possession of an Accredited Public Relations (APR) certificate issued by the Public Relations Society of America or California Association of Public Information Officials is desirable.
