A Fiscal Director or Budget Director manages the budget and finance department of government agencies or cities. They manage the operations of the budget and finance department; including leading analysts and staff. They review and make recommendations on budget requests and options in terms of policy, programs and objectives for the agency or city while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and statutes. They are responsible for the accumulation of data to support the development of financial analysis and budgeting, including the preparation of quarterly, monthly and annual financial performance measures.

Job Description
- Supervisor, Business Services. This is a temporary assignment through June 30, 2027. Hourly pay is $60.96. Working hours are Monday
- Friday, 8:00 AM
- 5:00 PM Reporting to the Vice President, Administrative Services, responsibilities will include: 1.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS 1.
Accounting and basic audit principles and practices. 2. Theory and practices of cost accounting, grants accounting and governmental accounting 3. Preparation and interpretation of complex fiscal records and reports. 4. District procurement policies and procedures. 5. California Community College Budget and Accounting Manual (BAM). 6. Federal/state and other applicable laws and regulations and District policies/procedures governing business services including the California Education Code and Title 5. 7. Board Policies, Administrative Regulations, Accrediting Commission for Community & Junior Colleges Standards, Human Resources procedures and collective bargaining agreements. 8. Assign, inspect, review and approve the work of staff in implementing college financial management processes. 9. Implement Business Services policies and guidelines. 10. Manage, supervise and train employees in accounting and revenue-collection practices. 11. Determine work priorities and analyze situations using sound judgment in the application of policies, rules, regulations and standard operating procedures. 12. Understand, interpret, explain and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures, laws, codes and ordinances.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field. 2. Three years of increasingly responsible accounting and budgeting experience, including one year of lead or supervisory experience.Desirable Qualifications:
