Job Description
Program-level reporting on chapter health:
membership trends, meeting participation, and grassroots calls to action, translating field data into direction for the department and updates for organizational leadership. Conduct policy research and analysis to inform advocacy campaigns and program goals as directed by operations personnel and the board of directors. Build and nurture coalitions by collaborating with community groups, industry leaders, and other stakeholders. Oversee the operating model for the Business Affiliates program, driving Affiliate participation and CRPA Membership recruitment. Work with affiliates to bolster membership in the organization.Execute local engagement strategy:
prioritizing which local issues warrant member mobilization, set the framework for talking points and alerts, and oversee volunteer coordination on letter-writing and meeting attendance. Draft regular articles from the Advocation and Outreach Department perspective for publication in company Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across departments such as communications, legal, marketing, and fundraising to ensure unified messaging. Develop and evolve the volunteer incentive program to strengthen long-term engagement and retention. Build organizational capacity for chapter and volunteer presence at gun shows and other public-facing events, delegating execution to field staff. And when necessary work weekend events and get materials to volunteers and help set up for events. Manage and develop department staff, including schedules, field routes, workload distribution, and professional growth. Represent CRPA at speaking engagements on the Second Amendment and CRPA's mission, including in-state travel as required. (Candidate must have reliable vehicle, be able to travel when needed, and be able to fly is necessary) Ensure warehouse and field material needs are ordered and resourced, directing staff responsible for inventory and logistics. Monitor the broader political and advocacy landscape, benchmark against peer organizations, and drive continuous improvement and innovation in program reach and effectiveness.- Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Required Skills
- Strong commitment to the Second Amendment and constitutional rights, with the ability to speak knowledgeably and represent CRPA on 2A issues, candidates, hunting, shooting sports, and organizational mission.
- Demonstrated leadership and staff management experience, with a track record of building or scaling a program rather than solely executing day-to-day tasks.
- Excellent public speaking and writing skills.
- Strong strategic and organizational skills, with the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into direction and recommendations for other departments and leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear, actionable reports communicating departmental performance, growth, and outcomes.
- Superior project and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and oversee multiple direct reports across a statewide program.
- Strong computer, analytical, and public speaking skills are a must.
