Job Description

Director of ASN Bridge programs, and The Connie Allen Kendrick Endowed Chair in Teaching, Learning, and WorkforceDevelopment for Nursing Multiple Campus Locations (FULL TIME)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a qualifiedcandidate with the following minimum qualifications: Master's degree in Nursing from a nationally or regionally accreditedinstitution college or university. The appropriate degree should meet the requirements of college accrediting agencies. Holdappropriate, unencumbered licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse. At least three to five years' experience working in anacademic unit in higher education within the past seven years. Experience in a supervisory role in education and industry.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
(In addition to the minimum qualifications) The ideal candidate will possess the followingpreferred qualifications: Three to five years' post-secondary and/or higher education teaching experience. Experience in curriculum development, instructional methodology, planning, evaluation, budgeting, supervision, and management. Experience in SACSCOC, ACEN, and GBON accreditation. Experience as a program coordinator, director, dean, or department chair. Familiarity with Technical College System of Georgia policies, procedures, and processes. Ph.D, Ed.

D, or Master'sdegree in Nursing Education or related field.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Director for ASN Bridge programs, you willoversee all aspects of the academic unit of Nursing Bridge programs at SCTC's Jasper; Butts, Spalding, and Fayette campuses.
Your keyresponsibilities will include:
Planning and organizing the unit's work to meet the technical college's objectives. Supervising and evaluating the performance of all full- and part-time faculty and staff within the nursing unit. Reviewing andapproving all requests for supplies and materials. Preparing the instructional program specifications and budget. Representing the department at various internal and external meetings. Developing and implementing an educational plan for allcampus locations to ensure adequate staff, space, and materials. Addressing and resolving complaints and needs of students,faculty, staff, and outside customers. Serving as a liaison to departments of the technical college. Promoting theprograms to public and private organizations to support expanded services and facilities. Attending campus program advisorymeetings. Providing leadership for committees, special projects, and initiatives as assigned. Developing and/orassisting with the development of policies and procedures and recommending changes to meet the goals and requirements of the College. Conducting regular evaluations of services provided and adjusting as needed. Completing other duties as assigned. Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President for Nursing. The endowed chairholder will serve as a faculty member andDirector for ASN Bridge programs within the Academic Affairs Nursing Division at SCTC. This individual will teach one course each fall,spring, and summer semester, and will assume a leadership role within SCTC's Nursing Division (ASN/LPN/CNA). The chairholder willdevelop and implement quarterly professional development training sessions for nursing faculty, focusing on excellence in teaching andlearning, clinical instruction, simulation, student engagement, and workforce development. Additionally, the chairholder will play apivotal role in establishing innovative partnerships with the allied health nursing sector to enhance workforce capabilities. Beyond servingthe allied health nursing community, the Connie Allen Kendrick Endowed Chair in Teaching, Learning, and Workforce Development for Nursingemphasizes engagement with the K-12 sector. Through partnerships and outreach initiatives, this program aims to inspire and prepare studentsat all levels for careers in nursing. The primary objective of the Connie Allen Kendrick Endowed Chair in Teaching, Learning, andWorkforce Development for Nursing is to provide strategic leadership for SCTC's Nursing Division by directing ASN Bridge programs, advancingfaculty excellence through ongoing professional development, and building innovative partnerships that strengthen the allied health nursingworkforce. In addition, the chairholder will expand the nursing pipeline by engaging the K-12 community through outreach and career-focusedinitiatives, creating meaningful pathways that prepare students at every level for future opportunities in nursing.
COMPETENCIES
To excel in this role, you should possess the following competencies: Knowledge of the mission of post-secondaryvocational/technical education. Familiarity with program assessment and strategic planning strategies. Understandingof budget development and management principles. Knowledge of state and local academic program curricula and academic coursestandards. Skill in the delegation of responsibility and authority. Excellent interpersonal relations,decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in the operation of computers and job-related software programs. Strong oral and written communication skills.
SALARY:
Salary will be commensurate with education and workexperience. Additional benefits include paid state holidays, paid annual and sick leave, and participation in the State of Georgia FlexibleBenefits Program. Please note that in addition to the salary for the position of Director of ASN Bridge programs, the Connie AllenKendrick Endowed Chair in Teaching, Learning, and Workforce Development for Nursing offers an annual stipend of over four years.
