Next Level Community Development Center, Inc. Position Summary The Assistant Program Director supports the Program Director in ensuring Next Level programs operate effectively, remain compliant with grant and organizational requirements, and provide high-quality services to students and families. This position provides oversight in the areas of grant compliance, reporting, budgets, program quality, partnerships, contracts, and program documentation. Primary Responsibilities Grant Compliance & Reporting Oversee compliance requirements for assigned grants and contracts. Complete required monthly program reports and maintain supporting documentation. Track grant deadlines, deliverables, monitoring requirements, and required data. Maintain organized, monitoring- and audit-ready grant files. Budget & Expense Monitoring Monitor monthly expenses and maintain current balances for each grant. Compare expenditures to approved grant budgets and identify potential concerns. Work with fiscal staff to reconcile expenses and maintain appropriate documentation. Review program purchases for grant and budget alignment. Program Quality Review lesson plans and conduct periodic classroom observations. Monitor implementation of curricula, enrichment activities, and grant-funded services. Review field trip and technology requests for program, budget, and compliance requirements. Provide feedback and identify areas where staff may need additional support or resources. Partnerships & Contracts Participate in meetings with schools, community partners, funders, and other stakeholders. Assist with establishing and maintaining partnerships that support students and program goals. Develop and maintain contracts for enrichment providers, field trips, consultants, and other program services. Track agreements, required documentation, deliverables, and renewal dates. Program Management Support the Program Director with implementation of program goals, procedures, calendars, and special initiatives Participate in staff, leadership, partner, and grant-related meetings as assigned. Assist with staff training, program documentation, and continuous improvement efforts. Provide management support and program leadership in the Program Director's absence when designated. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, nonprofit management, business, human services, or a related field preferred. Experience in youth programming, grant-funded programs, education, or nonprofit management preferred. Strong organizational, communication, budgeting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain accurate records. Proficiency with spreadsheets, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and program management systems. Strong attention to detail, initiative, professionalism, and follow-through.
