Job Description
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in a human services field such as hospital or nursing home administration, physical therapy, speech therapy, social work or psychology.
- QMRP Qualified and Supervisory Experience.
- Five years' experience working with people with disabilities.
- Excellent Verbal/Written Communication Skills.
- Prior experience with Medicaid Waiver Programs helpful.
- Positive attitude towards people with disabilities.
- Reliable transportation.
- Clean driving record and documented automobile insurance as required by state law.
- Able to pass criminal background check.
- Maintain flexible working hours.
- Calm and Friendly Personality with the ability to adapt to quickly changing conditions.
- This position may require lifting, assistance in training, and pushing or pulling of wheelchairs and other apparatus.
FUNCTION
The Program Services Manager will direct and supervise SED#1 vocational and residential programs to ensure that each program functions successfully and within all licensing requirements, and keeps the Executive Director informed of all activities and/or issues that occur in each program.SPECIFIC DUTIES
1. Assists the Executive Director with the development of agency policies and procedures to achieve and maintain compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local Authorities, the Louisiana Medicaid Program and the Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities. This will also include annual licensure enrollment with the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals. 2. Coordinate plans with the Executive Director for the development of new programs and the direction of existing programs. 3. Supervise, assign, and direct program managers and their direct staff members in their job duties to ensure that organizational goals, policies and procedures are being met. 4. Act as a Liaison between all programs and the Executive Director. 5. Work with the Executive Director to establish operating procedures and issues directives to ensure the effective delivery of the services. 6. Continually review the needs of each program and the staffing capabilities to meet those needs. 7. Oversees hiring functions to ensure the availability of qualified staff to provide a full range of needed services. 8. Assists the Executive Director with preparing an annual budget for Board approval and establishes effective controls and disburses funds according to the approved budget. 9. Supervise staff working with Medicaid recipients. 10. Monitors procedures regarding agency referrals, admission, transfers, terminations and discharges of individuals with disabilities. 11. Assists Executive Director with managing personnel issues relative to employment, such as hiring, firing, resignations, job descriptions, assignments and annual performance evaluations. 12. Help develop a competency-based training program for staff. 13. Help develop and oversee a Quality Enhancement Program. 14. Performs other program related job duties as assigned by the Executive Director.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Promote the agency and its mission in providing services and supports to people with disabilities. 2. Attend training sessions and acquire certifications as needed. 3. Maintain a positive attitude in the performance of job duties. 4. Maintain flexibility and accept new job duties as assigned.Job Type:

$30,000.00- $40,000.
