Founded in 1976, Turning Point has been a leader in providing recovery services tailored especially to African American individuals. The organization offers a comprehensive range of programs, including addiction treatment, housing assistance, and community support, all designed to meet the unique needs of the Black community.POSITION SUMMARY
The Outpatient Housing Manager at Ms. Beas is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the outpatient housing program, ensuring a safe, supportive, and structured living environment for clients in treatment. This role includes direct supervision of Housing Assistants, performance and timecard management, coordination of client housing needs, and elements of case management to support residents in achieving stability and recovery goals. The Outpatient Housing Manager ensures that both staff and clients adhere to program policies, while promoting a trauma-informed and client-centered approach to care.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Program & Housing Oversight:
Oversee the daily functioning of the outpatient housing program at Ms. Beas. Ensure safe, clean, and orderly housing environments aligned with organizational and regulatory standards. Monitor client compliance with house rules and program expectations; address behavioral concerns in a timely and appropriate manner. Coordinate move-ins, discharges, room assignments, and housing-related logistics. Maintain accurate records and documentation of housing occupancy, incidents, and services provided.Supervision of Housing Assistants:
Provide direct supervision and support to Housing Assistants, including scheduling, training, and performance management. Manage attendance records, approve timecards and ensure appropriate staffing coverage Conduct monthly one-on-one check-ins, team meetings, and performance evaluations Offer coaching, mentorship, and corrective action as needed in collaboration with HR and leadership Ensure Housing Assistants are knowledgeable about emergency protocols, client safety, and conflict resolution proceduresCase Management Support:
Provide case management services as needed, including assessments, service planning, and referrals to external resources Coordinate with clinical teams to support client progress and promote housing stability Assist with client crises, safety planning, and connections to mental health, substance use, employment, or medical services Track housing-related client outcomes and document services in a timely and accurate mannerRequirements:
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field required; equivalent experience may be considered Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a behavioral health, housing, or supportive services setting At least 1 year of supervisory experience, preferably in a residential, outpatient, or treatment setting Familiarity with trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and client-centered service models Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills Proficiency in documentation and use of electronic health records Must be technologically proficient and comfortable using Microsoft Office programs, Excel spreadsheets, and payroll management systems. Must have a valid drivers license, auto insurance and reliable transportation Must meet all background clearance and compliance requirementsWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
