We are recruiting to fill a Juvenile Administrative Support I position to perform basic receptionist, clerical and legal support work in a Juvenile Office. Work involves performing general legal secretarial and clerical duties for a Juvenile Office. Work requires the exercise of initiative, independent judgment and discretion in handling delegated details and the performance of various support duties. Responsibilities - What you'll do Drafts correspondence, legal documents, memoranda and motions and other materials from copy or notes. Screens and refers callers and visitors, answers various inquiries personally and provides information on the Juvenile Office; maintains appointment schedules and electronic calendars. Identifies critical or important calls and advises appropriate staff. Enters information into the database system and performs relevant data processing activities. Processes discovery and associated tasks. Qualifications - All you need for success Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school and two years secretarial or general clerical experience. Additional experience above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of administrative support staff practices and procedures. Knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and arithmetic. Knowledge of court procedures and policies, legal documents, laws and legal factors pertaining to the court. Knowledge of organization and court operations, functions and scope of authority of the Juvenile Officer. Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
