DCRC is seeking a dedicated, full-time Director of Crisis Services to lead our Crisis Services team in providing comprehensive support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. The Director of Crisis Services offers both strategic leadership and operational oversight, ensuring the consistent delivery of trauma-informed, client-centered services. This role supervises key staff members—including Crisis Line Advocates, Crisis Case Manager(s), Counseling Manager, the Community Engagement Coordinator, and related internships. The Director works in close collaboration with organizational leadership and community partners. The Director is also responsible for managing departmental operations and budgets, while ensuring all services remain aligned with DCRC's mission to provide safety, advocacy, and support for survivors.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision
- Recruit, train, supervise, and retain staff; conduct performance evaluations and develop individualized professional growth plans.
- Mentor and support staff to sustain a high-performing, trauma-informed, client-centered approach.
- Develop and manage departmental schedules, including 24/7 on-call rotations for crisis response and hospital accompaniment.
- Oversee a consistent and collaborative community engagement program, including the recruitment, training, and retention of dependable volunteers.
- Foster a team culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and continuous professional development.
Program Development & Service Delivery Develop and implement program strategies, establish goals, and oversee daily operations to ensure alignment with DCRC's mission, client needs, and funder requirements. Ensure the consistent delivery of trauma-informed crisis intervention, safety planning, case management, advocacy services, counseling referrals, and support group. Create and maintain policies, procedures, and best practices to guide high-quality service delivery. Coordinate 24/7 helpline operations, hospital accompaniments, and walk-in client services. Manage volunteer schedules, policies, and procedures across Crisis Services, Legal Services, and Shelter Services. Deliver or facilitate training on relevant topics for staff, interns, and volunteers. Community Engagement & Partnerships
- Develop and implement strategic outreach plans and programs that reflect DCRC's mission, vision, and values.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify service gaps in the community and design targeted programs to address those needs.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with law enforcement, healthcare providers, legal services, and community organizations.
- Represent DCRC at community meetings, coalitions, and events to strengthen cross-agency partnerships.
- Advocate for survivors' needs within the community and work to expand available resources.
- Coordinate community engagement requests and ensure staff, interns, and volunteers are trained and prepared to participate in opportunities that align with organizational goals. Budget & Resource Management
- Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Identify funding needs, contribute to grant proposals, and oversee reporting for grants related to crisis services. Data & Reporting
- Establish and track performance metrics for crisis services and volunteer programs.
- Use data-driven methods to monitor and evaluate program outcomes.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all calls, case management appointments, and client interactions.
- Prepare and present reports on service delivery, client outcomes, and program effectiveness to the Executive Director.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies.
Direct Support Serve as a crisis responder during high-demand situations. Participate in the Staff-on-Call rotation to ensure continuous client support. Provide back-up support for crisis line calls, hospital accompaniments, and case management as needed. Perform other duties as assigned that align with the organization's mission. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in human services or a closely related field plus at least one year of experience working with domestic violence and/or sexual assault clients; or a bachelor's degree in any field with commensurate lived and/or professional experience.
- Staff supervision experience is required.
- Crisis management and response experience is required. Preferences
- Master's degree in human services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline is preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong academic foundation in human services, with advanced education providing additional expertise in areas such as case management, counseling, and program development. This educational background will help ensure the successful candidate can effectively meet the needs of the individuals and communities served by our organization.

Pay:
$48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
