Job Overview The Counseling and Support Services Director provides leadership, oversight, and vision for all non-residential counseling and support programs serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence. This role ensures high quality, trauma informed, and survivor centered services while supporting staff, strengthening programs, and aligning services with the agency's mission and strategic goals. The Counseling and Support Services Director supervises counseling and advocacy staff, supports program development and evaluation, manages program related grants and budgets, maintains community partnerships, and serves as a member of the agency's senior leadership team. The Director also maintains a small clinical caseload to remain grounded in direct service and emerging client needs. Duties Program Leadership and Oversight

• Provides overall leadership and direction for non-residential counseling and support programs
• Ensures services are trauma informed, culturally responsive, and aligned with best practices and funding requirements
• Develops, implements, and evaluates program policies, procedures, and service delivery models
• Monitors program outcomes and uses data to guide continuous improvement Staff Supervision and Development
• Recruits, hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates counseling and advocacy staff
• Provides regular clinical and administrative supervision
• Supports staff professional growth, training, and wellness
• Promotes a collaborative, supportive, and accountable team culture Direct Service
• Maintains a clinical caseload of up to 10 clients, as needed
• Provides individual counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy
• Ensures appropriate referrals and coordination of care Program Development and Community Engagement
• Identifies emerging community needs and opportunities for program growth
• Represents the agency through public speaking, training, and community presentations
• Builds and maintains partnerships with community providers, coalitions, and systems partners
• Collaborates on prevention, education, and outreach initiatives Administration, Grants, and Budget Management
• Participates in agency-wide strategic planning and leadership decision making
• Assists with grant development, reporting, and compliance related to counseling programs
• Monitors program budgets and expenditures in collaboration with agency leadership

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Proven leadership skills with ability to manage teams, implement change, and develop organizational capacity
• Knowledge of trauma-informed organizational practices
• Program management experience including policy and procedure development and quality improvement
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments
• Understands DCF requirements, coalition standards, and domestic/sexual violence regulations
• Excellent communication skills for diverse stakeholder engagement
• Cultural competency to serve diverse survivor populations
• Technology proficiency in database management and reporting systems
• Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferred
• Experience with nonprofit strategic planning and organizational development, preferred

Required Education & Experience:

• Master's level Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker
• Minimum 5 years of experience providing direct service preferably in domestic violence or trauma programs
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of domestic violence dynamics, trauma-informed care, and survivor empowerment
• Experience with program planning, evaluation, and grant management
• Strong knowledge of community resources and service systems

Pay:

$90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
