Qualifications for Borough Director Positions (Brooklyn/Queens): Advanced degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field. A license in the field of study is required. LCSW preferred. CPP required after being hired. Administrative supervisory experience for three to five years. Intermediate/Advanced Computer skills in various components of Microsoft Office as well as proficiency in e-mail services and knowledge of internet use.

Borough Director:

The Borough Director is the administrator in charge of the day-to-day operations in the respective boroughs.

The Borough Director will:

1. Supervise the activities of the regional coordinators, therapists, and administrative assistant. 2. In consultation with the Executive Director, plan the allocation of borough personnel. 3. Provide clinical consultation to staff when needed and set up in-service training and group meetings for borough staff. 4. Direct the daily operation of the borough field office and approve all related expenditures. 5. In consultation with the regional coordinators and the school principals, assess the needs of the schools for services. 6. Conduct regular administrative meetings with regional coordinators and supervisors. 7. Closely monitor the activities of the regional coordinators and counselors to ensure overall compliance with OASAS guidelines. 8. Provide regular reports on program activities to the executive director. 9. Represent the program at local community meetings, OASAS meetings, various committee meetings, and participate in coalition and consortium meetings. 10. Coordinate and oversee the implementation of projects as developed by the executive director, OASAS, or staff. 11. Maintain regular contact with school/academy principals and annually visit those in which we have program staff on site. 12. Maintain liaisons with other service agencies and programs in the community or diocese. 13. Act as a liaison with schools of social work or other university programs for possible intern placements. 14. Develop the work plan for the borough and monitor the monthly data reporting by the administrative assistant and regularly review the activity reports generated by the WITNYS system. 15. Conversant with all aspects of the OASAS prevention guidelines. 16. Keep current with prevention trends, environmental strategies, and prevention counseling models. 17. Assist with preparation of the OASAS required annual prevention report. 18. Assist/assume additional tasks as indicated by the executive director. 19. Write annual performance evaluations for the staff members you directly supervise. 20. You must have reliable transportation to travel to schools for meetings with principals and staff. 21. Skilled at managing a staff with diverse skill sets and personalities.

Salary:

Compensation includes a salary of $80,000 plus benefits.

Pay:

$78,520.70 - $80,000.00 per year
