Job Description
Assistant Director for
Youth, Teen & Family Position Summary:
The Sewickley Valley YMCA is searching for an outstanding professional to develop programs, plan and implement activities, lead program classes, budgeting along with promoting and evaluating all Youth, Teen & Family programming.Responsibilities include:
To research, create, develop and implement dynamic and new programs that are responsive to the community needs. To help create / be responsible for budgeting for the youth, teen & family programs. To plan, organize, lead, and evaluate all Youth, Teen & Family programs. To be a team player who demonstrates strong verbal communication, leadership, customer service, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Oversee the Leadership Program To assist with the leadership the sports of Flag Football and our YBL (youth basketball leagues) along with after school sports clinics. To have a leadership role in the Day Camp Program with training, supervision, planning etc…Entry Qualifications:
The successful candidate will hold a bachelor and or associate's degree in education / early childhood or have equivalent experience and possess strong skills and experience in: Previous experience in program development Previous experience with staff development and supervision Relationship building and assessment of community needs. Written, verbal, and interpersonal communications. The candidate must accept and demonstrate the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The candidate must be able to perform physical tasks commensurate with the position requirements.Salary:
$55,000- $60,000 (Non-exempt, 40 hour / week)
