Job Description

Bilingual Resident Support Specialist (English/Spanish)
Location:
Seattle, WA (On-site at an affor dable housing community in White Center)
Department:
Housing Schedule:
Full-Time/40 hours per week, non-exempt
Compensation:
$31.00/hr.
Reports to:
Housing Program Manager This is an on-site position at an affordable housing community in White Center. About the Role Wellspring is seeking a compassionate and community-minded Resident Support Specialist to join our Housing team at an affordable housing complex in White Center. In this role, you ll work directly with residents to strengthen housing stability, connect individuals and families with essential resources, and help build a welcoming and supportive community. If you re passionate about helping individuals and families build stability and thrive in their community, we d love to hear from you. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ What You ll Do Provide on-site support, advocacy, and resource navigation for residents. Conduct needs assessments and create individualized action plans to help residents overcome barriers to housing stability. Provide crisis intervention and support for residents at risk of eviction, including connections to rental and utility assistance. Advocate for residents while building strong partnerships with property managers to find practical, mutually agreeable solutions. Connect residents to community resources, including healthcare, mental health services, employment, childcare, transportation, food assistance, and financial counseling. Build strong relationships with residents, property management, schools, nonprofits, and community partners. Support community events and develop programs for children and youth, including educational, recreational, and enrichment activities. Maintain accurate case documentation and track resident outcomes. Promote a safe, inclusive, and connected residential community through a trauma-informed, equity-centered approach. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ What You Bring 3+ years of experience in housing support, case management, community engagement, or a related field. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) . Experience supporting diverse and vulnerable populations , including those exiting homelessness. Knowledge of housing stability strategies, tenant advocacy, and landlord-tenant issues. Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Cultural competency and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred:
Experience developing youth programs or working in educational settings is a plus.
