We are looking for a highly proactive, organized, and detail-oriented Purchasing & Logistics Assistant to help with our entire supply chain from A to Z. In this role, you will be completely hands-on with both procurement and the complex logistics of importing our products. You will serve as the crucial link between our vendors, sales team, forwarders, and customers, ensuring that inventory is optimally stocked and shipments arrive without delays or unnecessary fees.
Key Responsibilities:

Purchasing & Vendor Management Data Analysis & Strategy:
Run and analyze seasonal sales reports using QuickBooks Desktop to identify top-performing and underperforming items.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Review sales reports with the Sales Team, gather their feedback, and incorporate their requests into purchasing strategies.
Negotiation:
Source products, negotiate pricing, and secure the best possible deals with international and domestic vendors.
Order Management:
Place purchase orders and meticulously track them from confirmation to final delivery and ensure zero delays, changes, or issues. 2.
Logistics & Supply Chain End-to-End Tracking:
Monitor and manage the entire shipping process for each container from the overseas vendor to final delivery (to our warehouse or directly to the customer).
Customized Coordination:
Adapt to the specific shipping, documentation, and handling requirements of different vendors, countries of origin, and customers.
Vendor & Partner Liaison:
Daily coordination with various freight forwarders, customs brokers, and trucking companies.
Issue Resolution & Customs:
Take immediate action to resolve FDA or customs holds. Deliver rapid email responses and process necessary payments (e.g., SSL holds) to clear shipments without delay.
Cost Control:
Strictly monitor shipment schedules and arrival times to avoid demurrage and per diem charges by all means.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
Proven, hands-on experience in logistics, international shipping, and supply chain management is required.
Technical Skills:
Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is highly preferred. Proficiency in Excel and Windows Explorer for filing and documenting.
Communication & Negotiation:
Exceptional speaking, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively deal with vendors and freight partners.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to stay calm under pressure and swiftly resolve logistical nightmares (like customs holds or port delays). Attention to

Hyper-organized with the ability to juggle multiple shipments, forwarders, and changing deadlines across multiple accounts simultaneously.
