JOB DESCRIPTION
This position will purchasing of materials and services necessary to support the company. This individual needs be familiar with administrative practices. Tasks involve working with documents, spreadsheets, reports, the incumbent will compose correspondence items
Responsibilities:
Follow established work processes and workflows Provide courteous and effective communication Meet work deadlines Work with the purchasing manager & Senior Buyers to run the purchasing department Maintaining cordial working relationships with vendors and supervise vendor activities Manage purchase orders scheduled delivery dates, Acknowledgements, Change Notices Maintain all purchase records Support supplier receipts & resolve and documentation issues
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate Degree or B.Sc. in Logistics, Purchase and Supply, Business Administration or related fields are typically preferred) At least two years of experience in a purchasing position In-depth knowledge of purchasing functions, inventory and supply management systems Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills Ability to work with minimal supervision Strong organizational skills, a good understanding of sourcing and the ability to maintain vendor relationships Direct experience with spreadsheet computer applications
