Competitive based on experience Position Overview Baltic Food Distributing is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical purchasing & Inventory Assistant. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with data, and proficient in Microsoft Excel. This position is well suited for someone who enjoys working with numbers, reviewing reports, identifying discrepancies, and keeping information accurate and up to date. Key Responsibilities Review sales history, product movement, stock levels, and purchasing data. Assist buyers with preparing, submitting, and maintaining purchase orders. Track open purchase orders, expected delivery dates, and supplier updates. Create and update Excel spreadsheets, reports, and inventory tracking tools. Identify slow-moving, overstocked, low-stock, and out-of-stock products. Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, product availability, pricing, and delivery timelines. Support periodic physical inventory counts and inventory reconciliations. Provide inventory and purchasing reports to management. Qualifications Previous experience in purchasing, inventory control, supply chain, or a related administrative role is preferred. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required. Comfortable working with spreadsheets, formulas, reports, and data. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple purchase orders, deadlines, and follow-ups.. Excel Skills Candidates should be comfortable using Excel for: Sorting and filtering datasets Creating and maintaining inventory reports Using formulas and calculations Using VLOOKUP Creating pivot tables
