Purchasing Assistant Primary Functions:

Assist the Purchasing Department in the day-to-day purchasing activities.

Purchasing Assistant Major Responsibility:

Receive Dock Appointments Process paperwork for all inbound loads/outbound return paperwork Enter Purchase orders Price Validations of Supplier loads Accurately file invoices and payments in online database Supplier Bill Backs Monitor inbound overseas shipment containers Counts and adjusts Inventory supplies Approve for payment supplier invoices Correct and follow up on shipping and pricing errors.

Qualifications:

Computer Literate (Excel skills needed) Ability to do 10 key entry Must have high math aptitude High school diploma, minimum, Associates or Bachelors degree preferred. Must be people-oriented person, who can be flexible with workload demand Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Office work experience preferred.
