Job Description

Summary/Objective The maintenance buyer/clerk compiles and maintains records of business transactions and office activities of the organization by performing the following duties. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Locating sources of supplies for materials in an assigned category. Interviewing of perspective suppliers, determining factors such as lead-time, price, discounts offered, and availability. Processing requisitions, issuing purchasing orders, and expediting as required. Entering, printing, faxing, and filing purchase orders. Processing rejects and miscellaneous returns. Creating debit memos and updating files. Updating DCA and miscellaneous return spreadsheets. Expediting material shortages from vendors. Cooperate with all departments to facilitate the correct materials are purchased in the quantity and quality required. Acting as a liaison between selected individuals in the company and supplier representatives. Works with extreme accuracy to provide error-free work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of the position. Competencies Technical Capacity Organizational Skills Communication Proficiency Customer/Client Focus Time Management Collaboration Skills Required Education and Experience High School Diploma Three years of experience in an office / printing environment Preferred Education and Experience Associate s degree in an applicable field, and/or three years of experience directly related to the production, organization, and management of printed material. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 1st shift- 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 2nd shift- 3:30 p.m. to midnight., 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
