Job Description

Job Summary Our Purchasing Team Lead and play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our procurement team. In this position, you'll serve as the first point of contact for purchasing team members, coordinate purchasing activities, collaborate with Pricing, and help drive process improvements that support operational success. If you're an experienced buyer who enjoys solving problems, building supplier relationships, and working cross-functionally, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for the Purchasing team, providing day-to-day guidance and support while escalating issues to the Procurement Manager as needed. Coordinate purchasing activities for direct and indirect materials to support business operations. Reduce material shortages through effective purchasing practices and supplier management. Help reduce inventory levels by improving purchasing processes and planning. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to reduce purchase prices, improve lead times, and ensure reliable material availability. Partner closely with the Pricing team to ensure purchasing strategies align with customer quotations and business objectives. Promote a proactive quality mindset within the Purchasing team. Utilize the ERP system to drive purchasing efficiencies and process improvements. Assist with onboarding and mentoring new team members and share best practices across the team. Support continuous improvement initiatives within Purchasing. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience with 14 CFR Part 145 and/or EASA Part 145 repair station material purchasing preferred, but not required. Minimum of 5 years of purchasing or buyer experience. Experience with both direct and indirect material purchasing. Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. Experience using ERP systems for purchasing and inventory management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate across departments and serve as a resource for team members. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or MRO environments preferred.

From $22.00 per hour
