Job Summary:
The Parts/Purchasing Assistant will maintain both inventory levels and receiving of new inventory for the
Batavia Plant Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain the accuracy of the inventory management system Modula and MP2 Systems. Review purchase orders to ensure accurate delivery of goods. Will request quotes from vendors. Be crossed trained and act as a back up for the Purchasing Supervisor in issuing restock purchase orders. Be crossed trained and act as a back up for the Purchasing Supervisor in processing payment for purchase orders and other invoicing tasks. Export reports out or Modula and MP2 system into Excel. Manage Excel reports to maintain accurate data. Address shipping, receiving, payment issues with outside vendors accordingly. Receive and distribute inbound deliveries accordingly. Assist in assuring that all items are properly checked out of the stockroom and recorded as necessary. Serve as a point of contact to answer internal questions and/or concerns in reference to parts/stockroom. Prepare and participate in physical inventory. Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly environment in the stockroom. Prepare and distribute department information to leadership as needed. Perform other tasks as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent. Advanced Computer Skill (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.). Ability to type at least 50 words a minute. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent verbal communication and human relation skills. Attention to detail. Excellent administrative skills and perception. Training and/or experience as an administrator or other clerical assignment.
