Job Description
Role Summary Free People is looking for an Assistant Planner / Allocator to support the Planning & Allocation team in driving sales, inventory productivity, and profitability through effective merchandise planning, allocation, and business analysis to achieve financial objectives. Role Responsibilities Own planning and allocation for assigned product classes. Analyze business performance to identify sales, inventory, and profitability opportunities for both Direct and Retail Build, maintain, and distribute weekly, month-end, and ad hoc reporting Identify regional and attribute-level trends and recommend actions Ensure accuracy and integrity of forecasts, reports, and planning tools Apply retail math and financial metrics to evaluate business performance Prepare for, and participate in, re-forecasting, buys, and inventory management for both assortment reviews and OTB processes Become an expert on the business and work with your manager on strategy to find comp opportunity Partner with Buying and other cross functional partners to execute merchandise strategies Create clear, actionable analyses and presentations for business partners and leadership Collaborate with planning and allocation group to share best practices and drive process improvements Translate data into insights and recommendations that support business decisions Own store in-stock rules and reporting Analyzing sales to stock ratios and product flow management, new purchase orders and backstock allocations Ensure the right product is delivered to stores at the right time Role Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Collaborative team player with a proactive approach. Resourceful and solutions-oriented mindset.
