Job Description
The Washington County Purchasing Department is seeking to hire a Bid Contract Manager/Senior Buyer to effectively review, revise and administer contract specifications for various bids, proposals and construction projects. Additionally, to effectively facilitate contracts by working closely with departments, vendors and engineers by communicating the Purchasing Procedures & Policies. The position requires an Associate degree or specialized courses/training equivalent to satisfactory completion of two years of college in business or related field. Requires two years of purchasing experience in the public sector. Certified Purchasing Buyer Designation preferred or equivalent years of service. Strong computer (Word, Excel, Outlook) and communication skills needed. Experience with purchasing procedures/codes, government policies/procedures, and working in a professional environment.
