Job Description

About The Nighthawks:
The Upper Valley Nighthawks are a collegiate summer baseball team based in White River Junction, Vermont, competing in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL), one of the nation's top wood-bat collegiate leagues. Founded in 2016, the Nighthawks are known for competitive baseball, community involvement, and professional development opportunities for players and staff. Each summer, the team provides a hands-on, growth-focused experience in a fun and fast-paced sports environment.
  • Season runs from May 30 to August 9
Internship Information:
  • Opportunity to Earn College Credit (dependent on school approval)
  • Access to professional-level baseball operations and media production
  • Ability to broadcast to numerous networks (HUDL, ESPN+, and Unbeaten Sports)
  • Networking opportunities with NECBL coaches, players, and league officials
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the technical director for all home broadcasts, produced on ESPN+ and Amazon Prime
  • Develop, produce, and publish broadcast content in coordination with the Director of Broadcasting to be used in production
  • Collaborate with the broadcast and creative teams regularly
  • Ensure all content aligns with team branding, tone, and league standards
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, Sports Media, or a related field
  • Strong technical presence with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Proficiency with broadcast production platforms (OBS, NewBlue/Titler, etc.)
  • Experience with graphics and video editing tools preferred
  • Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Baseball knowledge and a passion for sports media preferred
