Summary Responsible for accurately scheduling patient appointments, answering a high volume of incoming calls, process valid patient referrals, verify patient demographics and insurance, coordinate provider schedules, reschedule appointments as needed and communicate appointment instructions to patients.
Education:
High school diploma graduate or equivalent.
Experience:
Three years of medical reception, patient scheduling, or healthcare customer service experience preferred. Experience with EMR/EHR preferred; EPIC experience is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
Other:
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism. Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Understanding of insurance verification and referrals. Ability to work independently and with a group to support the needs of the practice.

Since 1999, Pediatric ENT Associates has been providing comprehensive care for children across the Southeast. As the largest pediatric ENT group in Alabama, our team of six board certified physicians offer a wide range of pediatric ear, nose, and throat services including diagnosing and treatments for advanced hearing loss, congenital ear deformities, and vascular malformations. We offer specialized expertise in cochlear implants, bone-anchored hearing aids (BAHA) and the management of complex airway and sinus conditions. Our goal is to provide compassionate, family-focused care whether your child needs routine ENT care or advanced surgical intervention. Our mission, along with Children's Hospital of Alabama, is to provide the finest pediatric health services to all children in an environment that fosters excellence in research and medical education. We provide care to patients at two convenient locations: Children's of Alabama is located in Birmingham, Alabama (COA main) and Children's South, located off I-459 and Acton Road.
