Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Surgical Scheduler to join our healthcare team, specializing in breast cancer surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will coordinate and manage the scheduling of surgeries, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for patients, surgeons, and staff. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive patient information with professionalism and compassion. As a Breast Cancer Surgical Scheduler, you will play a vital role in facilitating timely surgical care and supporting patient outcomes. Anticipated start date is December 2026. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule breast cancer surgical procedures in collaboration with surgeons, patients, and clinical staff. Confirm patient appointments and ensure all necessary pre-operative preparations are completed. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their surgical schedules, instructions, and any required documentation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling records within electronic health record systems. Liaise with insurance providers and administrative departments to verify authorizations and manage necessary paperwork. Assist in organizing pre-operative assessments, consultations, and follow-up appointments as needed. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, privacy regulations, and safety standards during all scheduling activities. Address patient inquiries related to surgery scheduling promptly and professionally. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize surgical workflows and improve patient experience. Skills Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written. Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism. Proficiency in scheduling software, electronic health records (EHR), and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of healthcare operations related to surgical procedures, particularly in oncology or breast cancer treatment preferred. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. Compassionate approach with strong interpersonal skills to support patients through their surgical journey.
Pay:
$24.00 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
