Job Description
Job Summry:
The Hygiene Treatment Operations Specialist (TOS) manages the hygiene schedule, ensuring hygienists' schedules are full and scheduled to goal. The ideal candidate for the position must be a self-starter and able to perform with little direction, have excellent customer service skills, accuracy and attention to detail, multi-tasking and time management capabilities, and be able to work well with a team.Key Responsibilities:
Protect patients and employees by adhering to HIPAA protocols (maintain confidentiality) Monitor daily hygiene schedule - call late patients Work with Office Manager to be point of contact for hygienist coverage Point of contact for serious inquiries from staff or hygienists involving hygiene protocols Enters SRP pre-authorizations and contacts patient to schedule Checks SRP appointments on schedule Contacts to schedule past due recall patients (call or text) Reschedule hygiene appointments as needed Run daily reports & correct errors as needed (exams walked out to hygienist in error, services not attached to a claim) The Hygiene TOS will be trained to, and may at times need to, chart treatment and present treatment plans to patients, sign patients up for membership plan, set up patients on EZ Pay, assist patients in applying for third party financing, and run/post third party financing, as well as new insurance verification and a full breakdown of insurance benefits.
