Job Description

Facilitates the restaurant food service process by matching order ticket with prepared food items and sides as completed by the kitchen line staff in order to allow servers to receive completed orders and ensure timely delivery of product to restaurant guests.
Essential Duties:
Matches order ticket with prepared food items and sides once completed by the kitchen line staff. Checks presentation of plates for neatness and inclusion of all ordered items. Monitors food quality and returns sub-standard items to the kitchen. Monitors ticket times and escalates dishes and/or tables to the Chef that are delayed. Communicates with service staff to inform them of orders that have been filled or returned. Demonstrates Food Safe handling and practices and ensures all food runners and servers are following proper procedures. Ensures take-out orders are packaged with great attention and care and includes all necessary accompaniments. Keeps orders in sequence to ease service process. Keeps workstations well stocked of items and ingredients. Checks and ensures that quality and freshness standards of all garnishes, breads, sauces, condiments, etc. is maintained and identified with dates and labels. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. Works with senior culinary and outlet management to deliver outstanding member and guest experiences and maintains a commitment to constant improvement. Supports front of house and team in all aspects of flawless food and beverage delivery. Regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Frequently stands, walks, talks and hears. Regularly uses hands. Regularly reaches with hands or arms, tastes or smells. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather). Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non- weather). Noise level is moderate. Must be ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol & Food Allergy) or TIPS equivalent. Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English). Knowledge of point-of-sale applications helpful. Working culinary terminology helpful. Strong ability to multitask. Strong communication skills. Attention to cleanliness and safety. High level of active listening skills and strong guest service skills, which includes the ability to resolve guest issues/complaints with tact and diplomacy. Strong multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills. Patience and customer-oriented approach. Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude. Responsible and trustworthy.
