In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating freight shipments, building and managing customer accounts, communicating with carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring smooth transportation operations from pickup to delivery. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within the transportation and logistics industry while developing skills in freight brokerage, operations management, customer service, and logistics sales. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage freight shipments from pickup to delivery Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and carriers Negotiate freight rates and maximize load profitability Track shipments and provide timely updates to customers Communicate daily with drivers, dispatch, and customers Resolve load issues and ensure smooth transportation operations Develop and manage customer accounts Maintain accurate shipment records and operational data Identify new business opportunities and support company growth Deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment Qualifications Proven experience in supply chain management, transportation management, or logistics operations with a focus on freight brokerage or 3PL services. Strong understanding of transportation planning, carrier sales, account management, and logistics sales strategies. Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software (Customer Relationship Management), EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), AS400 systems, and data entry processes. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to develop lasting customer relationships through effective communication. Knowledge of FDA regulations related to shipping compliance when applicable. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
