Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Junior Supply Chain Expeditor is responsible for supporting the timely flow of materials required to meet production schedules and customer demand. This position works closely with suppliers, Buyer/Planners, Production Control, and Logistics to monitor open purchase orders, track deliveries and communicate delivery status on identified shortages. The Expeditor plays an important role in maintaining material availability and supporting on-time customer delivery.
Junior Supply Chain Expeditor Responsibilities:
Monitor open purchase orders and supplier commitments. Contact suppliers to confirm shipment dates and quantities. Follow up on past-due orders and obtain recovery plans. Communicate supplier delivery updates to internal stakeholders. Review daily shortage and open-order reports. Identify materials at risk of impacting production schedules. Escalate supply concerns to Buyer/Planners or Purchasing Manager. Support expediting activities for urgent material requirements. Update purchase order promise dates within the ERP system on expedites. Maintain accurate supplier delivery information on expedites. Assist with monitoring delivery times and open order status on expedites.
Junior Supply Chain Expeditor Requirements:
Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. 6 month
•2 years of experience in: Supply Chain, Purchasing, Customer Service. Logistics, and our Manufacturing Operations. Strong organizational skills Attention to detail Ability to prioritize multiple tasks Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams Sense of urgency and follow-through Preferred experience Proficiency in Microsoft Excel ERP/MRP knowledge Basic understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes
