Scheduler (Bilingual Chinese) Astrana Health, Inc. - 1.7 El Monte, CA Job Details Full-time $20 - $22 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications Mandarin Full Job Description Description Astrana Health is seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, managing communication with providers and patients, and supporting the daily operations of the department. Fluency in Mandarin is required, and additional language skills are a plus. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional patient service in a healthcare setting.

Put Patients First Empower Entrepreneurial Provider and Care Teams Operate with Integrity & Excellence Be Innovative Work As One Team What You'll Do Answer phone calls promptly and transfer to the appropriate department Schedule radiology procedures and exams; provide preparation instructions to patients Review and confirm referring provider orders and insurance authorizations Contact patients and physician offices to confirm appointments and deliver exam prep details Verify insurance coverage as needed Monitor and respond to incoming faxes from referring providers Fax reports to requesting physician offices Provide interpretation or translation as needed (Mandarin required) Assist other departments with obtaining medical history or insurance information Contact IPAs or insurance providers to initiate authorization requests as directed Request prior imaging records from outside facilities when necessary Cross-train and support front desk operations as needed Complete other administrative duties as assigned by supervisors or managers Participate in monthly office meetings Other duties as assigned Qualifications Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a must; additional language skills are a plus Prior experience in a medical or radiology office preferred Familiarity with insurance verification and scheduling systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent time management and multitasking abilities Dependable, team-oriented, and patient-focused You'd Be Great for This Role if: You've verified insurance before and can confidently navigate different health plans You enjoy interacting with patients and making sure they feel informed and cared for You're a strong communicator who can work well with both clinical and administrative teams Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions This is a full-time, in-person position located at 9700 Flair Drive, El Monte, CA 91731.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 9am - 5:30pm, plus every other Saturday 9am-1pm. The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour.
