Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Job Summary We are seeking a Patient Scheduling Coordinator to coordinate off-site specialist appointments, including urgent, routine, and follow-up visits. This role works closely with the care team, primary care providers, specialty providers, and Utilization Management to ensure timely access to specialty care and approved services. Key Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate specialist appointments based on authorizations and turnaround time requirements. Process, track, and follow up on referrals and authorizations. Communicate with participants, providers, and care teams to ensure timely access to services. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy guidelines. Resolve scheduling issues and provide professional customer service. Organize tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines. Qualifications High School Diploma required. Medical Assistant Certificate preferred. Previous experience in a medical or clinical setting required. Experience with referrals, authorizations, and electronic medical records preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic ICD/CPT coding. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Bilingual English/Spanish or other languages preferred, depending on location. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 10 lbs. Frequent computer and telephone use, including extended periods of typing and data entry. Ability to travel to various locations as needed to support program operations.
