In this role, you will handle non-emergency transportation calls and make quick, informed decisions to ensure efficient and timely service. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can multitask effectively, and maintains a high level of customer service. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all trips are scheduled, routed, and monitored efficiently while maintaining compliance and operational excellence. Responsibilities Receive and manage inbound non-emergency calls Collect and accurately document caller and trip information Schedule same-day and future transportation requests Assign and dispatch trips to drivers in real time using dispatch software Monitor trips and adjust schedules as needed Prioritize calls based on urgency and service needs Communicate effectively with drivers and internal teams Ensure all rides are assigned promptly and accurately Maintain high standards of customer service and compliance Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous experience as a dispatcher, scheduler, or similar role preferred Previous experience in Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) is highly preferred Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls Strong typing and data entry skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly organized with strong multitasking abilities Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
