Expeditor- Part Time The Food Expo is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and stocked line at all times. The food expo will check for accuracy on menu items, temperature, modifiers, sides, sauces, condiments, plates, and overall presentation, while using professional and courteous communication. Duties & Responsibilities Must possess a basic understanding of expediting and food running Account for all items in an order and provide the kitchen additional time to correct any issues (if applicable) Coordinate the timeliness and quality/accuracy of all food orders Maintain plate and food appearance up to Big Canyon standards Communicate with front of the house team and chefs to efficiently run food to the proper table and to the proper seat number Communicate with lead server and pastry chef to efficiently run desserts orders and prepare for birthday desserts Collaborate with Front Server to fulfill special requests Assist teammates in getting the dining room prepared for dinner service, as well as, closing the dining room and preparing it for breakfast and lunch service the following day Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager Skills & Qualifications 1-2+ years of food industry positions such as bussing, expediting, running food, hosting, & serving with preference for experience in fine dining restaurant settings Prior culinary experience a plus Working in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and adapting quickly to last minute changes Ability to lift, bend, and carry up to 50 lbs. Must have attention to detail Mandatory to work on all holidays, weekends, nights, and day shifts as needed Possess a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with all departments and members Strong communication skills a must
