Required:
HSD/GED Flu Vaccination (no exemption/no declinations) 2 years of experience with surgery/procedure scheduling 1 year of experience with insurance authorizations Experience with EpicEMR MUST
be able to work with insurances to authorize surgery procedures (authorizations is required)Preferred:
Previous experience as PSR or MA Surgery center or hospital experience highly preferred. Experience with scheduling spinal procedures and total joint procedures Primary Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate surgical scheduling, including pre-op/post-op appointments, insurance verification, authorizations, clearances, and required diagnostic studies. Educate patients on surgery procedures, risks, benefits, and pre-surgical requirements as directed by the physician. Serve as the primary patient liaison, providing support and communication before, during, and after surgery. Ensure all surgical logistics are arranged, including operating room scheduling, staff coordination, and specialized equipment requests. Manage patient inquiries, concerns, and service recovery while escalating issues when needed. Coordinate referrals, physician correspondence, authorizations, forms, calendars, and related administrative tasks. Maintain accurate patient records, demographics, insurance information, and chart preparation. Collaborate with billing teams, workers' compensation adjusters, and case managers to ensure accurate documentation, authorizations, and claim processing. Provide concierge-level patient coordination and clinical or administrative support based on operational needs.
