Overview Join our dynamic home health team as an Intake and Scheduler, where your energetic approach and attention to detail will be vital in coordinating patient care seamlessly. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, healthcare providers, and caregivers, ensuring efficient scheduling and accurate documentation. Your proactive communication skills and medical administrative expertise will help us deliver exceptional home health services while maintaining strict compliance with healthcare regulations. Duties Manage patient intake by collecting comprehensive medical histories, insurance information, and care needs with professionalism and empathy Schedule home health visits efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Wellsky Kinnser, Epic, CClink etc Review and verify medical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA regulations Coordinate with clinicians, caregivers, and insurance providers to ensure timely service delivery and resolve scheduling conflicts Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, appointment details, and care plans within various EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems Communicate effectively via phone and electronic correspondence to confirm appointments and provide exceptional patient service Support medical billing processes by understanding CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes, ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding including ICD-10, and Medicare requirements Requirements Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administrative support within a clinical or home health setting Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks Familiarity with medical coding including
