Operations Associate, Culture & Internal Communications Bridgewater Associates - 3.7 Westport, CT Job Details $120,000 - $175,000 a year 9 hours ago Qualifications Confidential information handling Microsoft Outlook Operations coordination Spreadsheets AI tools proficiency Process design Process improvement Executive administrative support Improving operational efficiency Full Job Description About Bridgewater Bridgewater Associates is a premier asset management firm, focused on delivering unique insight and partnership for the most sophisticated global institutional investors. Our investment process is driven by a tireless pursuit to understand how the world's markets and economies work - using cutting edge technology to validate and execute on timeless and universal investment principles. Founded in 1975, we are a community of independent thinkers who share a commitment for excellence. By fostering a culture of openness, transparency, and inclusion, we strive to unlock the most complex questions in investment strategy, management, and corporate culture. Our Culture Our culture is anchored in excellence, meaning constant improvement, and it is deeply tied to our mission. Because markets are objective, competitive, and getting smarter everyday, we need to keep rapidly improving to have any chance of beating them. Truth is our most essential tool for engaging with the markets and constantly improving because once you know what's true about your problems and opportunities, you can determine how to get better. Valuing truth means being transparent about your decision-making and mistakes, giving and receiving feedback with humility, and fighting for the best answers over hierarchy, ego, or self-interest. Operating this way is hard - it's only possible because we build meaning in our work and relationships. This meaning comes from the audacity of the mission, and the joy of working alongside people who make you a better version of yourself. The culture, like Bridgewater itself, is always evolving. In 1997 our founder Ray Dalio wrote down his lessons, starting with a Philosophy Statement which remains our foundation. This later evolved into a set of 300+ Principles. In 2022, when Ray transitioned the company, we re-underwrote several of those principles and evolved others, with a specific focus on Meritocracy. Today the culture sits, alongside our people, as our most important edge. When we get it right, it's the engine that powers everything else. About the Culture & Internal Communications Team The Culture & Internal Communications team is responsible for shaping Bridgewater's culture and what it feels like to work here — partnering closely with various stakeholders across the company to design and implement company-wide processes that convey the essence of who we are through communications and that reinforce our culture through training, tools, and transparency. In 2026, the team has been focused on three goals: clarifying the culture, making the culture true, and leading the company through a moment of transformation. Because culture touches everyone, the team partners closely with every department at Bridgewater. It's a small team with an outsized mandate, and everyone on it owns a real piece of it. About the Role The Culture & Internal Communications team moves fast across a lot of different fronts at once. We're hiring an Operations Associate to run the calendars and machines that keep every workstream on this team moving. The role breaks down into three parts: running the logistics behind our communications moments — town halls, Q&As, and the Distinguished Speaker Series; keeping our culture systems and tools running (think metrics refreshes and the machines behind them); and providing calendar and administrative support for Bridgewater's Head of Culture, roughly 20-30% of the role. Because this team's work touches the entire company, this role offers real visibility into how culture and communications initiatives actually run day to day — and for someone who grows an interest in the content itself, there's room to take on more over time. Responsibilities Own the logistics of our company moments end to end — town halls, Q&As, the Distinguished Speaker Series — building and improving the playbooks and runbooks behind them so they get better and more repeatable over time Run operations across our culture-related workstreams, including the recurring processes behind our culture tools and systems, like metrics refreshes Support the Head of Culture & Internal Communications with her calendar and weekly priorities, serving as a point of contact for incoming requests Take on additional project work as capacity and interest allow Minimum Qualifications Integrity, precision, and care in handling sensitive information Excellent organizational skills and an ability to juggle multiple responsibilities/tasks/priorities with minimal error 2-4 years of experience in operations, program coordination, or administrative capacity, ideally including some exposure to supporting senior stakeholders An eye for spotting inefficiencies, and a track record of building processes — playbooks, runbooks, trackers — that fix them and hold up over time Effective written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail Ability to anticipate and independently avoid or solve problems Agility; capable of adapting to unexpected changes and rapidly evolving situations; willingness to stay connected Genuine curiosity about AI tools and how to use them — comfort experimenting with new technology to work more efficiently. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Physical Requirements For at least the next 12 months, the anticipated onsite requirement for this role is three days per week, split between our New York City and Westport, CT campuses. Compensation The wage range for this role is $120,000-$175,000 inclusive of base salary and discretionary bonus. The expected base salary for this role is between 80-90% of this wage range.
